What is Islam? - Viva Islam

Let us learn to know islam, because "ISLAM" is a name given by God to this religion. the word Islam is derived from the Arabic vocabulary which literally means obedience and peace. Islam is derived from the basic word "SALIMA": peace, purity, submission and obedience. So "ISLAM" that means the people who are obedient to God and that makes peace with God and his creatures. Called Muslims.

And islam is the religion that ALLAH revealed to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him (PBUH), which contains guidance to life for all mankind. God says in the Quran Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him." (Quran 3-84)

A lot of the beauty that we can be in it, islam does not discriminate between one another. All mankind is one family there is no difference among their fellow. Human beings are all the same, there is no difference in the proletarian or bourgeois, whites or blacks, Jews or Gentiles, Westerners or easterners. Islam has given the revolutionary concept of the unity of the human race. And the rise of the Prophet, only to unite the whole world under the word of God, and to stir up a new life in the world of the dead.

Allah said in the Qur'an: And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. (Quran 3-103)

Islam is a faithful and comprehensive way of life which literally means "to live in peace with the obey to God. ' This provides a clear understanding of one's relationship with God, the goal in his life, and his destiny. A Muslim is a person who practice the Islamic way of life by believing in the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad, peace be upon him (PBUH). Today, Islam is one of the fastest evolving religion and embraced by more than 1.2 billion Muslims around the world
